- Cycling on the Danube cycle path between Passau and Vienna takes you through the Wachau to Krems, the Nibelungengau region to Amstetten or you could try mountain biking in the Waldviertel region
- Bike hire in Melk and Spitz an der Donau
- Hiking in the Waldviertel, on the Jauerling or on the Ostrong. There’s the Druid Trail in the Ysperklamm or you can try hiking with llamas
